NRHA Announces Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals

The National Rural Health Association (NRHA) has recently unveiled the country’s top 20 highest-ranked Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs), as determined by the Chartis Center for Rural Health. This September, these hospitals will be honored at the NRHA’s Critical Access Hospital Conference in Kansas City, Missouri.

The selection of these top 20 CAHs was based on the rigorous Chartis Rural Hospital Performance Index, which evaluates eight areas of performance: inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspective, cost, charge, and finance.
This comprehensive evaluation ensures the credibility of the ranking.
