Wapiti providers pay it forward. Each holiday season, Wapiti offers our partner providers a selection of gift options as a token of our appreciation for all they do. This year we mixed things up and included an option to waive their gift option and instead donate on their behalf to a regional food bank.
Thanks to the generosity of Wapiti partner providers, this endeavor raised $800 for area food banks. These donations were split between the Food Bank of Iowa on behalf of our Cedar Falls office and Feeding South Dakota on behalf of our Milbank and Huron offices.
We are proud of our partner providers who always lean toward selflessness, both in their professional lives and their personal lives. They exemplify Wapiti’s ICARE values of Integrity, Commitment, Adaptability, Responsiveness, and Empowerment. Thank you for paying it forward.
ABOUT THE FOOD BANK OF IOWA
The Food Bank of Iowa moves more than 1.5 million pounds of food per month through its distribution center, delivering it to partners, programs, and the Iowans who need it most. For every dollar donated, the Food Bank of Iowa can provide four meals.
ABOUT FEEDING SOUTH DAKOTA
Every single week, Feeding South Dakota assists in providing temporary food assistance to approximately 21,000 South Dakotans. Their BackPack Program gives food every weekend to over 4,500 kids who otherwise might go hungry. Every dollar donated can feed a family of four.
