Wapiti Medical Staffing is proud to have been recognized at the annual SHE
Awards event held in Huron, SD. Wapiti won the Empowering SHE
award, which is given to a business that encourages the progression of women within its workplace.
Gayle Stahl, Wapiti Operations Manager, was individually nominated for a SHE
Award in Tomorrow's Leader
category. Nominees in this category are chosen for demonstrating excellent leadership in their current career, while exhibiting the potential to reach even higher in months and years to come.
Krista Cronin, Credentialing Specialist at Wapiti, delivered Wapiti’s acceptance speech. We are including a portion of Krista’s message here because of how well it speaks to Wapiti values:
Wapiti Medical Staffing is a locum and permanent placement staffing company with offices in Milbank, Huron, and Cedar Falls, IA. We help place doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and CRNA at hospitals, clinics, and urgent cares throughout the upper Midwest.
Wapiti focuses on the ICARE values of Integrity, Commitment, Adaptability, Responsiveness, and Empowerment.
But I want to delve more into the “Empowerment” that is felt at Wapiti every day. Here are a few examples:
- Inclusivity on the strategic plan: to know that your opinions and ideas matter. How empowering is that?
- Walks with the CEO: one-on-one time to discuss your views, to see if the company is meeting your needs, any ideas to help more patients. How empowering is that?
- Team huddles with VP of Operations and Supervisors to discuss the next best steps in difficult situations. How empowering is that?
- Fail Forward: to purposefully and deliberately use failure to find success. As Henry Ford said, “The only real mistake is the one from which you learn nothing.” How empowering is that?
Again, those are just a few examples that are the norms in our office and the entire company. It is truly a workplace like none other, and it allows us to shine brighter and grow individually and as a team. Best of all, we get to empower everyone around us including the next generation of women.
At Wapiti we truly believe that “A better me, makes a better WE”.
Thank you to Gayle, Krista, and all of Wapiti for making ours an environment that empowers women!
