On a recent site visit in Iowa, Jen Lloyd, Region Operations Director, and Angie Grong, Account Manager, found themselves with an urge to roam … and a hankering for some ice cream.
Their first stop was the Tri State Marker, where the states of South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa all touch. These are some of the primary states Wapiti serves. It may not be a fancy landmark, but it is an important one. (Below: Angie is pictured on the left; Jen on the right.)
Angie and Jen spent the rest of the day traveling through several communities Wapiti serves and others we could serve. One of the physicians they were visiting with during this time mentioned that he had crossed paths with a few Wapiti providers at various Iowa locations, including a provider from Georgia and another from Israel. The physician observed that independent contracting is more of a popular lifestyle than he thought possible.
Their last stop was at a healthcare facility in Le Mars, which is coincidentally the Ice Cream Capital of the World. After visiting with the staff at the hospital, Angie and Jen decided they deserved a treat and stopped at the Blue Bunny Museum in Le Mars. Alas, it was closed for renovations. Never ones to be deterred, the ladies quickly came up with an alternate plan and stopped for an ice cream cone at the local Casey’s before hitting the road back to South Dakota.
